March 2024
We celebrated the end of Spring Term with our annual Easter Hat Parade and Egg Hunt!
No hail storm this year! The weather held and we managed to show off our amazing home-made (nursery-made!) Easter hats in their full glory! Parents cheered and clapped as we walked around the Wood and we were all very proud of our creations. This was followed by a hunt to find 3 tiny eggs and our own decorated egg, to win a prize of the egg cups we had designed and coloured, filled with Easter gifts from the Easter Bunny.
We did talk about the meaning of Easter, but it’s always a bit tricky to understand that Baby Jesus grew up and some people didn’t like him much! And as for the resurrection…well we’ll let school deal with that one!
We also collected Easter goodies to donate to the Pantry in Epsom, who were very happy to receive a ‘hamper’ full of hot cross buns, chocolate, cake and other more essential items, like cooking oil, washing up liquid, and cereal too.
All in all, a lovely day to end the Spring Term. Happy Easter everyone 😊
